GIGSMART SAYS AVERAGE HOURLY PAY FOR GIG WORKERS ON ITS PLATFORM IS UP NEARLY 28% SINCE PANDEMIC BEGAN

Online staffing platform GigSmart reported the average hourly pay for workers on its platform rose nearly 28% to $21.97 after the Covid-19 crisis began. “The increase in hourly pay and skills demand in our apps closely aligns with the overall shifts our economy is experiencing during this crisis,” GigSmart President Rich Oakes said. “In essential businesses like warehouses, the demand for more workers has led to increases in their hourly pay.”
