Rich Oakes

Rich Oakes is President of GigSmart, where he has led commercial strategy since 2017. He works at the intersection of workforce technology, marketplace scalability, and the economics of on-demand labor. Before GigSmart, Rich spent a decade at Security National Automotive Acceptance Corporation, where he ran six customer-facing operations — including sales, credit, and pricing — led a ~100-person team, and reported to the Board of Directors monthly. Before that, he scaled a new business unit at Cintas from $1 million to $20 million in annual sales over three years. He has spent most of his career building teams and operations in high-growth environments — which is where his thinking about workforce models comes from. He holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in Journalism from the University of Cincinnati.
