GigSmart Scholarship Contest Terms of Agreement and Consent to Release

Only one application may be submitted by an eligible Participant. Participants may be required to identify enrollment and proof of good standing with the institution in which the scholarship will be remitted. Participants acknowledge that any information provided, misleading or incomplete, will not be eligible for any scholarship award, and any scholarship awarded will be revoked.

Participants understand that if circumstances change so that they no longer meet the criteria for this award, they must immediately notify GigSmart. Scholarships awarded through this application process are not renewable or available for any cash or otherwise compensation to the Participant. Following the identification of the Participant winner of the award, GigSmart reserves the right to obtain additional information from the Participant so as to verify the validity of the Participants identity and eligibility. GigSmart is not responsible for issuing the scholarship in any specified timeframe, though not to exceed 180 days of the identification and verification of eligibility of the Participant winner. Additionally, it is not the responsibility of GigSmart to identify any tax implications of the issuance or remittance of the award to the institution on the Participants behalf.

Once identified, the Participant winner agrees to respond in a timely manner to requests for additional personal information and information pertaining to the institution that the scholarship will be remitted.

GigSmart will maintain compliance with The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) that protects the privacy of educational records about Participants. By submitting an application as a qualified Participant, the Participant gives permission to GigSmart to disclose general information to the public as to their name and institution that they are applying the scholarship.

Employees of the Company and immediate family members are not eligible Participants. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriages(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.
