Occupational Accident Insurance insures eligible GigSmart Workers for Covered Injuries that happen while they are logged into the GigSmart Get Gigs app and performing on-demand services. OAI provides benefits for medical expenses, temporary disability, loss of life, survivor benefits, dismemberment and paralysis for covered injuries directly caused by an occupational accident.
Should a GigSmart Worker sustain a covered occupational accident injury, OAI coverage can help the Worker cover unexpected medical costs that might otherwise need to be paid out-of-pocket.

If a GigSmart Worker is injured while actively working a Gig through the GigSmart Get Gigs app, an Occupational Accident Insurance claim will need to be reported immediately.
